Su-100, that replaced in the production Su-85 from the middle 1944 g., was as a whole analogous to it, excluding 100- mm the gun, developed on the basis of sea gun, with the high initial velocity of projectile and by imposing armor-piercing ability.

Self-propelled gun remained in arsenal of the majority of the armies of the participating countries of the Warsaw Pact to 1960- X of years, and in the armies of other countries, which entered into the sphere of Soviet influence, at least to 1980- X of years.
